Many members of our community have been asking for an alternative to the glass bottle. While it was our starting point, it turned out to be impractical for everyday use – too heavy, fragile, and not ideal for rooms like the bathroom or kitchen.
Our new bottles are made from recycled and recyclable HDPE – they’re lightweight, durable, and safe to use. At the same time, they’re long-lasting and can be reused many times. And of course, they remain a true design highlight with their velvety soft-touch surface.
What matters to us: plastic itself is not the problem – unnecessary plastic waste is. That’s the kind of plastic that doesn’t get reused or recycled but ends up being incinerated or polluting the environment. A durable rHDPE bottle that’s used often and properly recycled currently has the smallest environmental footprint. In fact, it causes even less CO₂ during production than a glass bottle.
Our bottle consists of at least 70% post-consumer recycled plastic from household waste, is fully recyclable and dishwasher-safe up to 65 °C.
