Everdrop detergents are effective starting from 20 °C. Our universal detergent is suitable for wash cycles between 20 °C and 60 °C. The color and delicate detergents, as well as THE BASE, were developed for temperatures between 20 °C and 40 °C. The sensitive universal detergent can even be used at temperatures from 20 °C up to 90 °C.
The color detergent and THE BASE can basically also be used at 60 °C — the higher temperature provides somewhat better hygiene. However, this is not ideal for many colored textiles: especially delicate fabrics, synthetic fibers, or heavily dyed materials can be damaged. Therefore, we would not explicitly recommend using 60 °C.
In general, washing at low temperatures is more environmentally friendly and saves energy — so we recommend this whenever possible. For machine hygiene, however, it is advisable to run a wash cycle with universal detergent at a higher temperature about once a month.
